Patrick Mahomes’ Father Pat Faces Possible Prison Time
Pat Mahomes Sr. has officially been charged with a felony following his February arrest, according to new court records reviewed by TMZ.
The former pro-baseballer was indicted on felony charges last week for driving while intoxicated by prosecutors in Texas, where he was arrested just days before his son, Patrick Mahomes, and the Kansas City Chiefs won their second consecutive Super Bowl.
The athlete faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted, in addition to a maximum fine of $10,000.
Authorities said at the time that it started as a routine traffic stop on Feb. 3. After speaking with Mahomes Sr., police noted that he showed signs of impairment, after which he admitted to consuming alcohol at the bar before he got in the car. He also reportedly had an open container in his center console.

second DWI arrest occurred in 2018, to which he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 40 days in county jail.
