Mr Charlie Puth delivers gratitude to Taylor Swift in the announcement for his new song “Hero”. The individual has also been spotted dropping chocolate bar emojis () in teasers for the song in relation to Taylor’s mention of him in “The Tortured Poets Department”.
Charlie Puth delighted fans with a surprising announcement about his forthcoming song, nearly a year after his last track That’s Not How This Works, released on March 31, 2023.
Taking to his Instagram account on Tuesday, the Attention singer shared the exiting news regarding his new song HERO with a release date and a touching note to express his feelings.
Alongside a sun-kissed photo of him lying in the garden, the We Don’t Talk Anymore singer explained how his new track is relatable for fans, also thanked Taylor Swift for making motivating the singer to release HERO.
“My new song HERO is about when you see someone you love hurting themselves, ruining the things in their life that are good, but you just can’t save them,” began Charlie.

He further revealed, “It’s one of the hardest songs I’ve ever had to write, but I wrote it hoping that you’ve gone through something similar in your life, and that it can fill in the BLANK for you like it did for me. I’m very excited to share my next album with you, especially this song because it’s a great representation of what’s to come.”
While thanking the 13-time Grammy winner, he added, “+I’ve never put out a song like this before- it’s very different for me, but I want to thank taylorswift for letting me know musically that I just couldn’t keep this on my hard drive any longer.”
“HERO is yours on May 24th and this is the single artwork. Thank you to all of my fans- you’ll never know how much you mean to me,” concluded the singer in his caption.
