But why, Travis Kelce, why?
Hollywood. That’s why.
The Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end has earned the right to skip his usual football-shape diet in the offseason, if he chooses; indeed, he’s joked about doing just that as he relaxes a bit with pop star girlfriend Taylor Swift.
But this isn’t that.
Kelce is in the middle of filming the horror series “Grotesquerie” – yes, he’s following up his “Saturday Night Live” success with a real acting gig – and a particular scene calls for him to eat meatballs.
A lot of them, apparently.
“Well, I’m eating them by the half, so probably 10,” Kelce said, via US Magazine.

Kelce is filming the series in L.A. while girlfriend Swift has started the European leg of her Eras Tour this week in Paris … where Travis and both families, including both sets of parents, plan on joining her soon.
But for now? This will mark Kelce’s TV debut – as an actor, that is! – as he is coming off his third Super Bowl title after helping the Chiefs win Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers in February.
