Jason Kelce trained with an independent wrestling company ahead of his surprise Wrestlemania appearance last week, new photos show.
Kelce, along with former Eagles teammate Lane Johnson, helped Rey Mysterio and Andrade win in front of an adulating Philadelphia crowd at Lincoln Financial Field.
And prior to that performance, Kelce trained with Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) to prepare for his time in the ring. The company, founded in 1999, is known for its hardcore violence and death matches.
‘It was an absolute pleasure to have him at CZW and we look forward to seeing him again soon!’ Kelce, who announced his retirement from the NFL last month, donned an Eagles mask along with Johnson as the pair ambushed Dom Mysterio and stopped him from using a chair against his father, Rey.
From there, Rey landed a double 619 on Dom and his partner Santos Escobar before frog spla
shing on Escobar to secure the win.
Kelce and Johnson then celebrated the victory in the ring with Rey and Andrade, before removing their Eagles masks.
