BREAKING NEWS: Beyonce touched the blind girl from her show the way a mother would and Beyoncé was making sure she felt her presence.. SEE MORE
Haven’t we all dreamt about meeting our favorite celebrity? It’s still a far-fetched wish for many. However, one may be skeptical to approach their idol worrying that they might get mad. But some celebrities set an example by being nice and friendly with their fans and Queen Bey is one of them. Among many other wholesome encounters with fans, her sweet gesture for a fan in 2013 during her Mrs.Carter Show World Tour in Perth, Australia won many hearts. A special fan who stood in the pit caught the singer’s attention and what happened next was absolutely heartwarming.
On reaching the B-stage in the middle of her performance, Beyoncé introduced a “very special young lady” from the audience in the pit. “Tell everybody your name, beautiful,” said the singer squatting down to get the mic closer to the girl. The special guest was then revealed to be a young blind girl who was grinning from ear to ear and said that her name was Sophie. Queen Bey then told the girl, “Sophie, I think I need you to help me sing this song. You think you can sing ‘To the left,'” and went on to lead the way for the little girl to sing the first few words of her song “Irreplaceable.”
Sophie was full of smiles and sang the lines “To the left, To the left,” with excitement as the whole crowd cheered for her. Beyoncé then proceeded to sing the song while sitting down and gently caressing the blind girl. Considering how important feeling someone’s touch is for blind people, Sophie had her lucky day as Queen Bey knew well how to comfort her. This short and sweet gesture might’ve lasted for just a few seconds but sure might have created a lasting impression on the girl’s mind, adding to the core memories of her life. While this wholesome incident happened ten years ago, it is still making people go “awww’ in the comments section of the YouTube video.
“Beyoncé is caressing Sophie’s face and playing with her hair because Sophie is legally blind and has hearing and muscle difficulties. It was Bey’s way of making sure that Sophie could feel her presence. Such a beautiful and humble thing to do – this is why she is the queen,” commented @susanyhuynh. “They say nobody’s perfect but I’d say Beyoncé comes pretty close! She has such a good heart and she is the definition of grace, talent, class and humility,” wrote @BadGyalss. “I love the way she focused DIRECTLY on the girl, and continued to stroke her hair as she sang, to remind her how beautiful she actually is and not just to make her think she is… That’s whatcha call genuine,” wrote @TABULOUS1.
Many such examples of the “Halo” singer’s heartening encounter with fans have made its rounds on the internet. In one instance, Queen Bey helped her fans choose their wedding song during the Renaissance World Tour concert in Nashville last year. The 41-year-old singer spotted a fan’s sign while performing “Crazy In Love” and instantly reacted before continuing her song. The concert attendee (@lo0261) was actually holding a sign board that read, “Pick our wedding song,” with two of Beyoncé’s hits in the options, “XO or 1+1.” The singer, as soon as she saw the board, paused her singing and chose, “1+1.” That’s her connection with her fans.
