Taylor influence? “Travis Kelce to co-host ‘America’s Got Talent’ with Terry Crews.”
He’s conquered the gridiron, having won three Super Bowls. He’s conquered the zeitgeist with a hit podcast. Now, former Cincinnati Bearcat Travis Kelce is about to enter a new arena: Television.
Amazon officially announced Wednesday a 20-episode run of a new game show hosted by the star tight end and Ohio native.
Kelce will host a spin-off of the classic “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” titled “Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity,” that will air exclusively on Prime Video.
According to the company, each episode will welcome an adult contestant who will “rely on a classroom full of celebrities” across stage, screen and sports in a range of topics, all pulled from elementary-level curriculum.
The ultimate prize if you answer 11 questions correctly is $100,000.
While other game shows pit people versus stars, this show will have them working together.
Kelce will host all 20 episodes of the spin-off’s first season.
MGM Alternative, who produced both the classic and spin-off show, produced over 3,000 episodes of “5th Grader” globally. In the United States, the show ran for seven seasons and 118 total episodes.
Amazon did not say when “Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?” would begin airing.
